Our Ag Teaching Team
Holtville FFA is blessed to have three amazing Ag teachers who teach Ag classes, coach CDE/LDE teams, supervise student agriculture projects, and advise the chapter's leadership on the program of activities.

Mrs. Lindsay Cox

Lindsay Cox is a 11th year teacher at Holtville High School and in her 12th year of teaching. She is a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor's degree in both Animal Science and Ag Education as well as a Masters in Ag Education. She started her career as an ag science teacher, switched over to mechanics for two years, and is now back at home in the science classroom. Mrs. Cox advises sheep and goat SAE projects, coaches the livestock judging team, parli pro, and coaches prepared, extemporaneous, impromptu, job interview and creed public speakers.

Her philosophy is that this truly is a student-run leadership organization, and her chapter guidance reflects that. She trains students to mentor younger members with hearts of service and invests in growing them professionally. Due to this, Holtville has had 11 region officers, three state officers, and one national officer during her tenure.

Outside of the classroom Mrs. Cox has two children, Halle and Eli and owns a farm with her husband Travis - Redemption Farms. She enjoys fishing, music, and weightlifting and spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Carson Cronkright
Intermediate Woods, Intermediate Welding, Advanced Ag Fabrication, Plant Science, Food and Plant Science I & 2

I grew up on the Central Coast of California in San Luis Obispo County and attended Atascadero High School. Although I was not in FFA during those years, I did raise market lambs in 4H. This project was my first introduction to agriculture and sparked my passion for it. After high school, I attended Cuesta College before transferring to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to major in Agricultural Science and minor in Crop Science. I enjoyed a wide variety of experiences that shaped my understanding of agriculture including interning at Baloian Farms as a QC, working on Cal Poly’s Cheda Ranch managing their sheep & goat herds, and interning for the CDFA-AHFSS. After college I continued working for the CDFA in to help manage virulent New Castle disease in Southern California. I felt called to the classroom and returned to Cal Poly again to attain my teaching credential and M.S. in Agricultural Education. I student taught at Hilmar High School before taking my current position in Holtville. I am passionate about what I do, and find the great reward in seeing my students grow into better versions of themselves.
